Job Description:
As a Water Hygiene Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of water hygiene and treatment services at client sites. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in water hygiene, Legionella control, and compliance. The role involves travel to multiple sites, so a driving license is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Legionella risk assessments and water monitoring.
  • Carrying out routine sampling, temperature checks, and analysis of water systems.
  • Cleaning, disinfection, and chlorination of water tanks and cooling towers.
  • Assisting in the implementation of water hygiene policies and procedures.
  • Preparation of service reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Advising clients on water safety and best practices.
  • Identifying and rectifying faults or areas of non-compliance in water systems.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Legionella control and relevant health and safety regulations (L8 & ACoP).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds in Legionella Awareness or similar qualifications.
  • Experience with cooling towers and closed systems.
  • Plumbing experience or qualifications (NVQ or equivalent).
