Job Description:
As a Water Hygiene Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of water hygiene and treatment services at client sites. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in water hygiene, Legionella control, and compliance. The role involves travel to multiple sites, so a driving license is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting Legionella risk assessments and water monitoring.
- Carrying out routine sampling, temperature checks, and analysis of water systems.
- Cleaning, disinfection, and chlorination of water tanks and cooling towers.
- Assisting in the implementation of water hygiene policies and procedures.
- Preparation of service reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Advising clients on water safety and best practices.
- Identifying and rectifying faults or areas of non-compliance in water systems.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Water Hygiene Engineer or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of Legionella control and relevant health and safety regulations (L8 & ACoP).
- Full UK driving license.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
- Willingness to travel to client sites.
Desirable Qualifications:
- City & Guilds in Legionella Awareness or similar qualifications.
- Experience with cooling towers and closed systems.
- Plumbing experience or qualifications (NVQ or equivalent).
