Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the collection of outstanding payments from clients and insurers
- Handle incoming calls related to payment queries, outstanding balances, and general account enquiries
- Process payments and provide clients with accurate account updates
- Address direct debit queries related to premium finance agreements, including payment failures and disputes
- Liaise with the premium finance company to resolve payment issues and maintain accurate records
- Assist the IBA (Insurance Broking Accounts) team in settling insurer accounts and ensuring accurate reconciliation
- Investigate account discrepancies and resolve payment issues
- Produce reports on aged debt and debtor status
- Ensure timely follow-ups on outstanding balances and maintain strong client relationships
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency in the credit control function

What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in credit control or a similar financial role
- Strong telephone communication skills, with the ability to handle queries professionally and efficiently
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including the IBA team, to ensure accurate financial settlements
- Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Personable and good on the phone, with strong networking abilities
- Resilient, out-of-the-box thinker, and team player
