Mechanical Design Engineer
Red Rock Consultants are currently working with a leading mechanical services contractor.
They are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
This role is fully office-based at their Bromsgrove location.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical solutions for a variety of projects, working closely with the in-house teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems for commercial and industrial projects.
- Produce detailed design drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure designs are implemented effectively.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and codes of practice.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analysis for new projects.
- Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and ensure satisfaction.
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, preferably in a mechanical services or building services environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
