A worldwide organisation looking for a Senior Field Service Engineer to join with promotional prospects.   BASIC SALARY: £55,000 - £60,000   BENEFITS:· Company Car · Bonus · 8% Employer Pension · Life Assurance · 26 Days Holiday   LOCATION: Home Based   COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Bristol, Worcester, Swindon, Oxford, Taunton, Gloucester   JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior Field Service Engineer - Packaging Automation   You will be an experienced Field Service Engineer, reporting direct to the Field Service Manager, and will support our clients in the UK and Overseas, ensuring that our High speed packaging machinery are maintained in excellent condition and running at maximum efficiency.   You will be responsible for the safety, installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of our Packaging machinery at our customers sites.   You will have prior experience servicing, maintaining and installing packaging manufacturing process either as a Field Service Engineer or an on-site Engineer.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Senior Field Service Engineer - Packaging Automation   As our Senior Field Service Engineer, your main tasks will include: · Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of our machinery · Installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance of new machines · Proactively monitoring machine performance and intervening to ensure maximum efficiency · Managing scheduled maintenance of machines entrusted to you (actively looking for and resolving problems before they become issues for our customers) · Assessing machine mechanical wear and conducting the planned replacement worn components · Improve the knowledge and skills of customer operators and maintainers and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where needed. · Actively involved with the team to improve our own work practices · Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults and quickly escalating to colleagues when required · Ensuring that the correct tools, spare parts and consumables are available · Input to the continuous improvement of machine design   PERSON SPECIFICATION: Senior Field Service Engineer - Packaging Automation   We would be delighted to receive applications from any candidates who have: · A proven history of installing, maintaining, and repairing electro-mechanical machinery, ideally within the packaging or food processing market. · Knowledge and practical experience of PLCs and mechatronic systems. · An independent, customer-oriented way of working. · A performance-oriented mindset. · Willingness to challenge "we have always done it like this" thinking · Willingness to travel.   If you have Project Management experience as well as LEAN, Six Sigma and CI experience, that would be of particular interest.   THE COMPANY:  We are a leader in sustainable, fibre-based packaging solutions.
