Client Manager Role - Firm of Accountants - Bromsgrove

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced, qualified accountant to join our team as a Client Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to take on the full management of relationships within a client portfolio and to oversee the delivery of services to each client. Key duties include business development services, regular client meetings, reviewing VAT returns and research tax queries as they arise.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Nurture and grow client relationships, providing proactive tax and accounting advice

  • Manage your own portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery

  • Responsible for reviewing VAT returns for your portfolio of clients

  • Periodically review bookkeeping and collaborate with the bookkeeper to ensure accuracy.

  • Conduct quarterly business review meetings with relevant clients and hold an Annual Accounts Review (AAR)

  • Monitor the time spent by the team on each client and ensure invoicing aligns with the client's revenue and time spent.

  • Manage a team

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Relevant Accounting Qualification (ACCA or equivalent)

  • At least five years’ previous experience in a UK accountancy practice

  • Solid understanding of spreadsheet software

Desirable Characteristics:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Friendly and sociable attitude.

  • Familiarity with software such as Xero, Quickbooks, Sage
