Private Wealth Supervisor

The role is a core function within the Investments Operations Team processing tasks such as withdrawals and general client maintenance, as well as cash position monitoring for client accounts.

As our Private Wealth Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the performance of the team through 1:1 meetings and objective setting, to ensure processes are followed correctly and efficiently, resulting in the best outcome for clients and stakeholders within AFH Financial Group. This includes ensuring all administration duties are completed to the highest standard by the team. 
  • Monitoring and managing all direct reports for time keeping, team holidays, sickness and return to work. 
  • Dealing with any staffing or workflow issues/requirements within the team. 
  • To be a direct point of contact in times of escalation for clients, providers, and members of the business. 
  • Identifying any administration process issues and implement improvements that will streamline workflows and create efficiencies across the business. 
  • Identifying and implement projects that will assist in the growth and expansion of AFH Private Wealth. 
  • Analysing team MI to proactively forecast resourcing requirements, ensuring escalation to the line manager where necessary. 
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of the concept of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and how AFH Private Wealth seeks to comply with this FCA requirement. 
  • Abiding by AFH Group procedures and standards in relation to anti money laundering, data security and confidentiality and to complete training and assessment as required. 

What we are looking for in our ideal Private Wealth Supervisor:

  • Previous experience of managing a team is desirable. 
  • Good knowledge of the Financial Services Sector (particularly the UK & US Stock Market) and Investment Products. 
  • Good Procedural and Compliance Knowledge.  
  • Knowledge of TCF Principles and how they are applicable to individual roles. 
  • Effective organisational and planning skills. 
  • Experienced using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Delivery focused, with a drive for quality throughout. 
  • Relevant Qualification (or studying towards) The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment or equivalent.
