Your new companyYou will be joining a high-profile main contractor operating in the water industry. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work with Severn Trent and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of schemes, including wastewater treatment works, water treatment works and pumping stations, with projects ranging from £1m to £6m. Due to continued success, they are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Your new roleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be based out of their Bromsgrove office and your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing contractual and financial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements
  • Preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing and timely payment processing
  • Performing risk analysis and identifying potential cost savings or value engineering opportunities
  • Assisting with the preparation of tender documentation, contract negotiations and final account agreements
  • Monitoring project progress, variations and claims as well as providing regular reports to stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:

  • Previous experience in quantity surveying within the water (preferred) or civil sectors, utilising NEC form of contracts
  • Good working knowledge of contract conditions
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing cost estimates, budgets and financial reports
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
