Mon- Thur 8:30 - 17:00 with 1 hour lunch

Friday 8:30 - 16:00 lunch

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Gas Repairs Manager to join our team in Bromsgrove, overseeing gas repair and maintenance services across council-owned properties within the social housing sector. This is a permanent role offering the chance to make a significant impact by ensuring the safety, compliance, and efficiency of gas repair operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of 7 gas engineers and 3 multi-tradesmen responsible for reactive repairs, maintenance, and servicing of gas appliances within council properties.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure work is completed to high standards and in line with safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant gas safety legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct regular site visits and audits to monitor quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, stakeholders, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and swift resolution of any issues.
  • Manage scheduling and resource allocation to meet KPIs and deadlines.
  • Handle budgeting, cost control, and reporting, ensuring efficient use of resources and materials.
  • Investigate and resolve any escalated complaints or incidents.

Requirements:

  • Willing to achieve NVQ 3 in Gas Management within the 2 years
  • Hold a Gas Qualification CCN1, CENWAT CKR1, HRT1
  • Experience in gas repair management, ideally within the social housing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of gas safety regulations and compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team of engineers.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle budgets, reports, and resource planning.
  • Full UK driving licence.
