A UK-based, global manufacturer and provider of Products, Software, and Automation Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

They are experiencing a significant period of investment, with a newly built state-of-the-art facility to support their expansion efforts, this is a prime opportunity to join a growing business that offers long-term job security.

As a Maintenance Engineer, your duties will include -

  • Providing electrical/mechanical maintenance for all site primary plant and building assets
  • Adhering to PPM/TPM schedules and responsive reaction to breakdowns
  • Seeking out and implementing improvements to reduce the level of breakdowns using lean improvement methodologies
  • Installation and commissioning of new assembly equipment into production
  • Liaising with equipment suppliers, service support and contractors to remedy problems and order spares
  • Opening/locking up the site
  • Stepping in for the Maintenance Manager as needed; ordering, quotations, permits, dealing with suppliers

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Engineer, the ideal candidate will -

  • Be a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with recognised qualification/s
  • Be able to read/interpret electrical drawings
  • Have experience with 3-phase and Single phase electrics
  • Ideally be capable of interrogating to trace back faults on PLC's (Siemens)
  • Be a good communicator, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

On offer -

  • A basic salary of up to £46K
  • Annual bonus paid in February (usually 3-4% of annual salary)
  • Shifts rotate weekly:

Week 1: Monday - Thursday 6am - 2:30pm / Friday 6am - 1:30pm

Week 2: Monday 11:30am - 7pm / Tuesday - Friday 10:30am - 7pm

**This may change when they relocate, to day shift: 7am - 3:30pm**
