ABC Teachers is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in an SEN School in Bromsgrove on a full-time basis.

The role:

  • A well-established school is seeking an enthusiastic, devoted, and caring learning support assistant to work with children with special educational needs.
  • The school is looking for someone to provide support to children on a one-to-one and small-group basis in a classroom setting, working alongside a Teacher and additional support staff.
  • Promote student engagement and participation during lessons.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment that encourages growth and independence for all students.

About the school:

  • The School is a community SEN school for pupils with severe, moderate and complex learning difficulties, catering for pupils between the ages of 4-19.   The majority have moderate learning difficulties with some pupils having autism and more complex learning needs.

  • They are focused on creating an inclusive environment, where provision is tailored to meet the needs and abilities of pupils, no matter how varied.

About you:-
We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have relevant experience supporting students with autism and moderate learning difficulties (MLD).
  • Demonstrate strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Are dedicated, compassionate, and eager to go the extra mile to support the students in your care.
  • Can provide appropriate references and pass a DBS check.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are a suitable qualification for working with children and experience working with special education needs.
