Profile

Our client is a leading precision manufacturing business who create and complete their highly detailed and complex product on site ready for delivery to their international renowned customers. This is a brad new position to keep up with demand and growth. You will be joining a 10 strong team of experienced Design/CAM Engineers.

Key requirements for CADCAM Engineer

  • Previous experience in offline programming (all CADCAM package experience welcome)
  • Open to either learn or build upon skill set with Siemens NX
  • Happy to work 5 days a week in an office.
  • Happy to work in an open office environment.

Key responsibilities for CADCAM Engineer role

  • Program Delcam (Autodesk), Siemens NX to achieve efficient Toolpath generation and transfer to the Toolroom for various types of machines.
  • Ensure all programs are adequately backed up and correct information provided to Toolroom staff, inclusive of data management and control activities.
  • Using Siemens, Powershape to complete basic CAD operations showing an appreciation and entry level understanding of usage for design and extended purposes.
  • Participate with suppliers for introducing new technologies inclusive of optimising cutting tool strategies to suit.
  • Participate in design reviews and advise best practices for product manufacture.
  • Participate and drive improvement projects as per initiatives.
  • Participate and drive tooling, fixturing and machine improvements daily.
  • Ensure day to day activities are supported to meet business needs interfacing with all stakeholders internally and externally as required.
  • Supporting machining division with programs for components.

  • Training provided where necessary which includes learning new processes and software packages.

  • 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays rising 1 day per each year of service to maximum of 25 days.
