As the Machine Shop/Production Manager you will oversee the site's manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, logistics, and production planning operations. The ideal candidate will lead a dynamic team to ensure smooth and efficient production processes while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and output. Duties:

Supervising staff, responsibility for the management of the production team, fostering engagement and providing support to ensure consistent delivery of factory performance and quality outcomes.
Responsibility for manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, logistics, planning and setting up production on the site.
Managing inventory, raw materials, batches and finished stock levels to meet business needs efficiently.
Planning and allocating resources to achieve production targets.
Responsibility for monitoring and assessing performance against production plans, ensuring efficiency in equipment use, labour costs, and budget management
Coordinating schedules to ensure all production activities align with customer orders and business objectives.
Ensuring the products meet customer specifications and comply with current regulations and standards.
Maintaining and supervising production to make sure food hygiene as well as all Health & Safety rules and regulations on-site are met.
Managing staff effectively to meet the key requirements of the business.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in organising and planning within a manufacturing environment, with strong technical knowledge
  • Experiences in CNC machines (Mazak and Mazatrol)
  • Knowledge of Cad/Cam would be preferred
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire staff
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the capacity to work independently and maintain timelines
  • Experience working with CNC machine tools is essential
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Production Scheduling and Planning Software and Microsoft Office
  • Full clean driving license required
