About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to pupils with autism. You'll work closely with the teaching staff and multidisciplinary team to create a positive, inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of every child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with autism.
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailored lesson activities.
- Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to promote pupil progress.
- Uphold safeguarding and equal opportunity policies at all times.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with autism or SEN.
- A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their best.
- Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability.
- An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to child welfare.
Working Hours and Pay:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- 85 per day, with potential for progression based on performance and experience.
