About the Role:
This long-term position is ideal for someone with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism. The role involves teaching small groups of pupils in a supportive and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. The school prioritizes individual progress and celebrates each pupil's unique strengths.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with autism.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure pupils receive the best care and education.
- Promote positive behavior and emotional wellbeing.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to parents and carers.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance SEN expertise.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience working with children or young people with autism.
- A strong passion for SEN and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Teaching qualifications are desirable, but we welcome applications from unqualified teachers with a solid background in SEN.
- Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
Working Hours and Salary:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
