About the Role:
This long-term position is ideal for someone with experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism. The role involves teaching small groups of pupils in a supportive and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with autism.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure pupils receive the best care and education.
  • Promote positive behavior and emotional wellbeing.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback to parents and carers.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance SEN expertise.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience working with children or young people with autism.
  • A strong passion for SEN and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Teaching qualifications are desirable, but we welcome applications from unqualified teachers with a solid background in SEN.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.

Working Hours and Salary:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
