I'm seeking a talented and motivated Systems Integration Engineer to join a leading player in the aerospace sector based in Brough. Role Overview
As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless integration of complex systems within fighter jet programmes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, software, hardware, and testing, to deliver high-performance solutions that meet stringent aerospace standards. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer looking to contribute to a high-profile, mission-critical project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration of avionics, mission systems, and other aircraft subsystems within fighter jet programmes.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system requirements are fully understood and met.
- Develop and execute integration and test plans, including simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues during development and operational phases.
- Conduct systems analysis to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance requirements.
- Provide technical support and expertise to the development and testing teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems integration processes and methodologies.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in systems integration, ideally within the aerospace sector, with a focus on military aircraft or fighter jet systems.
- Strong knowledge of avionics, flight control systems, and mission systems.
- Familiarity with aerospace integration and testing methodologies, including HIL testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving integration challenges.
- UK security clearance or the ability to obtain it is essential.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with software integration, including working with embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with military standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
