Position: Earthworks Supervisor

Hours: 7:30 - 17:00

Salary: £260 per day

Responsibilities: an Earthworks Supervisor

Requirements: Managing a new earthworks site of up to 30 personnel. 

Foundation Personnel are looking for a SMSTS Site Supervisor to oversee a diverse team of 20-30 staff, including labourers, traffic marshalls, plant operators, groundworkers, and tipper truck drivers. The successful candidate will ensure smooth site operations, adherence to health and safety standards, and timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily site activities, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate and manage a mixed team of labourers, traffic marshalls, plant operators, groundworkers, and tipper truck drivers.
• Implement and enforce health and safety policies, ensuring all staff comply with SMSTS regulations.
• Monitor site progress, manage schedules, and report to project managers.
• Resolve any on-site issues promptly and effectively, maintaining a productive work environment.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

Requirements:

• SMSTS certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a site supervisor in the construction industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
