Our client is an established family-run insurance broker based in Hertfordshire who specialise in Motor, Home, Commercial, cyber, D+O and Travel Insurance. They are seeking an Account Handler to join their team in their Hoddesdon office.

Main Duties:
  • Handle new business, manage a portfolio of existing clients for renewals and MTAs
  • Gather client information, perform data checks during renewal and new business stages, acquire CCE, and manage run-off as required.
  • Handle renewals for policies ranging from SME to mid-market
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, identify warm and cold leads, and canvass for new business through cross-selling and cold calls.
  • Upsell additional covers such as GAP, breakdown, excess layer and protect, and GPA.
  • Generate reports and handle data to identify sales improvement opportunities and growth areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, BDMs, and underwriters to maximise connections and service privileges.
Essential Skills Required:
  • Experience working within the insurance industry.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and data management skills.
Desirable:
  • Proven experience in account handling within the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in identifying sales opportunities and implementing effective sales strategies.
