An exciting opportunity has opened for a Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in mainstream and special school settings. This role is available for an immediate start, offering flexible working hours and a competitive pay rate.

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic and dedicated team. The successful candidate will provide specialist occupational therapy services to children aged 5-11 in both mainstream and special school settings. This is a full-time role, with 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering a competitive pay rate of £30 to £32 per hour. The position is available to start ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and provide therapeutic interventions for children with a range of developmental, physical, and sensory challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans to address each child’s specific needs.
  • Deliver both one-on-one and group therapy sessions tailored to the children's developmental goals.
  • Work closely with school staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support for each child.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of therapy plans, adapting interventions where necessary.
  • Provide training and advice to school staff on how to support children’s therapeutic needs within the classroom environment.
  • Support children in achieving their full potential through inclusive and effective interventions.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Significant experience in paediatric occupational therapy, with a focus on school-based settings.
  • Strong understanding of child development and paediatric conditions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and educational staff.
  • A compassionate, patient-centred approach to therapy.
