ASC Specialist Learning Support Worker - Temporary - Part Time - Broxbourne - £18.74 per hour
We are recruiting a temporary Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) Specialist Learning Support Worker to work at Hertford Regional College to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at our state of art facilities in Broxbourne.

About The Role
As an ASC Specialist Learning Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students with ASC. Your expertise and dedication will make a significant impact on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individualised Support: Tailor your support to meet the unique needs of students with autism, promoting their social and academic development.
- Behavioural Support: Implement effective strategies to manage and support behavioural challenges.
- Communication: Work closely with teachers, Learning Support Team, and parents to maintain open and clear communication regarding students' progress and needs.
- Resource Development: Contribute to the creation of specialised resources and materials to enhance the learning experience.
- Inclusive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom, ensuring that all students feel valued and supported.
- SALT Support: Work with the SLT Therapist to implement resources and activities to support learner in developing their communication skills.
About You
You will possess previous experience as a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Worker, particularly with a focus on supporting students with autism. You will have relevant qualifications or training related to autism spectrum disorder and a strong understanding of autism and evidence-based strategies for support. You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as well as empathy, patience, and a commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives. You will be available on Tuesdays and Thursday between 8.45am and 4.30pm.
