Gatehouse Security Operative

Connect Appointments have an exciting new opportunity for a Gatehouse Security Operative to join our prestigious Broxburn based client, on an ongoing basis.

You must be flexible to work weekly rotational shifts across any of the following:

• Early shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00 (early Friday finish)
• Day shift: Monday to Friday, 07:45 to 16:30 (early Friday finish)
• Back shift: Monday to Thursday, 14:00 to 00:00 (early Thursday finish)

You will be paid a competitive rate of 11.71 pp/h + shift allowance (after 6 weeks).

• Early Shift: 4% shift allowance = 12.18 p/h (after 6 weeks)
• Back Shift: 16% shift allowance = 13.58 p/h (after 6 weeks)

Working as a Gatehouse Security Operative, your duties will include:

• Opening/closing all parts of the site
• Operating fire/intruder alarm systems
• Booking in/out all deliveries, dispatches, contractors, visitors into the system
• Answering phone calls, logging all information on the Adeptic system, contacting any relevant managers/team leaders etc
• Perimeter checks, log any/all information on the system, reporting any problems
• Check all fire hydrants are clear of any obstructions
• Conduct internal checks
• Monitor CCTC - both live and playback report and log any suspicious behaviours
• Warehouse duties - checking orders before dispatch, wrapping pallets, counting orders

To be successful, you will have a valid license and access to your own transport. Plus, ideally possess background in a warehouse environment; be computer literate and have the flexibility to work all of the above shifts on a rotational basis; be reliable, with good time keeping in particular.
