The Recruitment Co. is currently recruiting for a Software Engineer to join our clients growing Automotive Manufacturing team based in the Llanelli area.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: up tp 28,000p.a

Hours of work: DAYS Monday to Friday (37 hours per week)

Our client is seeking both graduate and experienced software engineers to join our existing team. The posts involve designing and developing hardware in the fields of automotive diagnostics, electric vehicles, and industrial installations to support our position as one of the leading companies in the battery remanufacturing, test, and recycling sectors.

Role Duties:

  • Creating and documenting requirements
  • Carrying out updates on existing codebase
  • Creating new software products from scratch
  • Versioning and storing source code in accordance with company management systems(GIT)
  • Creating test plans, implementing and documenting results
  • Support colleagues with advice and sharing of knowledge
  • Some travel to other UK sites, USA, Europe and China may be required

Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge of a .net language (C#, VB.net)
  • Working with version control systems
  • Perform unit tests and debug own code
  • Educated to Degree Level

Experience of the following would be advantageous:

  • Electronics knowledge
  • Knowledge of JIRA
  • Additional programming languages
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, SPI, SCPI, CAN, and other automotive/Industrial protocols.

  • Ability to work in a team orientated, collaborative environment
