Ward Shifts are: Days 7am-3pm or 1pm-9pm Nights 8.30pm-8.00am Long days 7am-9pm -with 1hr ½ hour break

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + Benefits

As a Senior Staff Nurse you’re registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management.

As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will:

  • Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Hospital’s way of caring
  • Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be
  • Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient’s needs
  • Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
  • Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students
  • Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training
