Job Title: Branch Manager

Salary: £35k - £42k per year

Location: Buckhurst Hill / Permanent

Hours: 7.30am to 5pm - Monday - Friday (every other Saturday 8am to 1pm)

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to lead our team at a thriving builder’s merchants. In this key role, you will be responsible for the overall performance and success of the branch, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient operations, and the achievement of sales targets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will lead the branch, focusing on sales, KPIs based in company targets and people management
  • Lead business strategy to maximise opportunity and profitability within the heavy side building materials sector
  • Develop customer base through, trade, contract, local authority and social housing sectors
  • A strong knowledge of managing your own P&L
  • Understand the importance of marketing and merchandising to support effective product strategy, branding and point of sale
  • Lead, coach and motivate a team to achieve their full potential
  • Excellent leadership and management skills to support recruitment and staff development
  • Strong level of experience in managing a builder’s merchant, a knowledge of supply chain and managing slow and obsolete stock
  • Sales experience

Skills Required:

  • Experience at management level within building material sector, wholesale trade or distribution
  • Proven track record for achieving financial targets
  • Executing developing and executing sales and marketing strategies
  • Ability to manager and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Forklift counterbalance license
  • Driving license essential / own vehicle
