What You Will Do:
  • Lead the delivery and improvement of coating processes (Hard Coat/Anti-Fog/Aluminising) into manufacturing, ensuring efficiency and quality align with customer standards.
  • Utilise your expertise in lacquer and aluminizing coatings to develop and support new and current product processes.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments, manage process documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD).
  • Provide operator training, reduce costs through innovative methods, tools, and materials, and support quality engineering in defect investigation.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement (CI) teams across all manufacturing aspects, showcasing your robot and PLC programming skills.
  • Support project development activities, ensuring successful pre-series builds and project launches up to 90 days post-sign off.
What You Will Bring:
  • A minimum graduate degree in chemistry, physical science, life science, or engineering, complemented by at least 3 years of experience in a Chemical Engineering role.
  • Proven expertise in the safe use and disposal of chemicals, along with complex problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of maths.
  • A track record of manufacturing internal and external coating finishes and method improvements in assembly.
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodologies; Black belt certification is advantageous but not essential.
  • A strong "Can do" attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team through improvement activities.
