Supply Desk is seeking are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher to join a Primary school in the Buckingham area (Buckinghamshire). As a PPA Cover Teacher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of learning for our students during the regular teachers' PPA time. You will work with various age groups and subjects, providing support and guidance to maintain a positive learning environment.

The role and responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage students in meaningful learning activities during the regular teachers' PPA time.
  • Follow lesson plans or use pre-prepared materials provided by the regular teachers.
  • Ensure students' safety and well-being at all times.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a respectful and inclusive environment.
  • Provide assistance to students with their assigned tasks and answer their questions.
  • Report any significant issues or concerns to the school staff or administration.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to support student's academic and personal development.

The ideal candidate: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (or equivalent qualification).
  • Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different subjects and age groups.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a passion for supporting students' learning journeys.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards education and student development.
