Technical Parts Specialist

We are looking for a Technically minded individual to join a company based near to Buckingham for a Technical Parts Specialist. Reporting to the Service Manager you will be the first point of contact for technical queries, monitoring stock levels and providing quotations for parts.

This well-established company are looking for someone who can support their growing company and provide high levels of customer service to all customers.

Working hours will be 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.

Duties of the Technical Parts Specialist:

• Be the first point of contact for customers technical queries.
• Diagnose problems and provide resolutions where possible.
• Source and order parts including obscure/special order parts.
• Supply customer with quotations and following these up to secure orders.
• Process warranty claims.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels.
• Updating parts manuals to ensure they hold the latest information.
• Build relationships with suppliers.
• Read parts manuals and identify specific item requirements.
• Work alongside the warehouse to ensure that parts are logged and stored correctly.
• Liaise with the sales team to keep them informed of any product changes or new details.
• Scheduling work and managing engineer’s diaries.

Personal Attributes:

• Previous experience working within a parts department.
• Experience within a company working with electrical and mechanical parts.
• Good IT skills.
• Must know how to read parts manuals and identify specific item requirements.
• Desire to learn and develop your knowledge within the company.
• Work well as a part of a team.
• Strong organisation skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Interested in parts and machines, with a want to understand how they work.

Offering £28,000- £35,000 per annum this position with a profit share company bonus paid after a successful 6 month probationary period.

The Technical Parts Specialist role offers great progression and development opportunities and would be best suited to someone who has worked within a mechanical or electrical parts department and there are promotional opportunities both managerial or skills and knowledge based.
