Our client is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their team in Buckingham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of commercial agreements and employment law matters in a supportive, collaborative environment. The position is ideal for a professional looking to leverage their legal expertise and advisory skills in both commercial and non-contentious employment law. Candidates with a background in private practice or in-house settings are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commercial Agreements: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Employment Law: Advise on non-contentious employment law matters, providing guidance to management and HR teams on employee relations, contracts, and employment policies to ensure compliance with relevant UK employment legislation.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, fostering strong relationships to ensure legal strategies align with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with external partners, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure effective and collaborative legal support.
Requirements:
  • UK-qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 4 years PQE.
  • Significant experience in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
  • Solid understanding of employment law, with experience advising on non-contentious employment matters.
  • Background in franchising or litigation is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Salary/Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary of £80,000 - £95,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus bonus and benefits.
