Our client is seeking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancing Legal Paralegal to join their team in Buckinghamshire and are keen to receive CVs from people with a background in Residential Conveyancing.

Role:

  • Dealing with queries raised by clients, solicitors, lenders and estate agents, whether face to face, by telephone or by email.
  • Opening, closing files, including, AML checks, keeping files updated with correspondence and ensuring compliance with SRA regulations, lender requirements and firm procedures.
  • Administrative support (including photocopying and scanning etc).
  • Preparing quotes to clients and drafting completion statements.
  • Assisting fee earners in preparing reports on title, reports on mortgage and search reports for clients.
  • Raising enquiries and replying to requisitions.
  • Carrying out searches online.
  • Using Land Registry portal to order official copies, leases and title plans.
  • Generating Stamp Duty Land Tax calculations and submitting applications.
  • Drafting forms such as AP1s and TP1s.
  • Preparing and submitting bills, receipts and payments to the accounts department for fee earners.
  • Using Land Registry portal to submit registrations, replying to requisitions; and ordering official copies, leases and title plans.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good computer literacy (word, excel, outlook), including, working knowledge of case management software.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • An understanding of the conveyancing process.
