Role: Transport Coordinator PART TIME

Location: Buckingham, MK18 1HE

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:30-15:00 – can be flexible with hours but will need to be 5 days per week

Salary: £22,000 DOE

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Transport Coordinator  to join our client’s successful team in Buckingham.

About our client:


Established in 1978,  the oldest and most experienced specialist in plastic cased medium and low temperature pre-insulated pipe systems in the UK and Ireland.

About the role:

Arranging, scheduling & monitoring material deliveries from Europe to UK sites. Hiring & Monitoring Plant items as required by Contracts Department to UK sites. Monitoring Trade, H&S Certification, and booking renewal courses.

Duties of a Transport Coordinator:

  • · Manage and co-ordinate arranging material transport with  Contracts team.
  • · Best buy from various transportation companies, transportation of materials into UK Sites.
  • · Plan and co-ordinate transport operations liaising with Contracts team, material suppliers, and transportation companies.
  • · Manage importation process with suppliers and transportation companies.
  • · Regular discussions with  Project Director/Manager as any potential site issues arising.
  • · Monitor transport costs, and delivery times.
  • · Update and report on delivery, and dispatch requirements.
  • · Ensure IT systems in place are maintained and kept updated.

What we would like from you:

Previous experience would be an advantage. The ideal candidate is to be very organised, assertive and be able to adapt to change as transport /plant requirements can change regularly, and attention to detail is a must.

We are looking for the candidate to possess strong administrative and communication skills with a good telephone manner
