Project: New build GP Practice in Buckingham, 6M

A leading commercial main contractor based near Southampton is searching for a Site Manager to join the business.

The company undertakes a variety of refurbishment and new build projects across the UK that include Industrial, Education, Carehomes, Office and Car Showrooms, with project values ranging between 1-6M.

They are looking for a Site Manager to lead a new build GP Practice in Buckingham with a contract value of 6M. The ideal site manager will live near the M4 corridor.


The role of the Site Manager:
As Site Manager you will have main contracting experience and will have lead projects on your own. You will have new build and refurbishment commercial experience willing to travel and stay away when required.

You will be joining a friendly and supportive contractor who has long-term plans to grow and will offer a stable and interesting career.

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • At least 5-6 years site management experience managing your own site.
  • Have both new build and refurbishment experience.
  • Experience in quality management making sure high standards are maintained.
  • Detailed understanding of Health & Safety management and compliance.
  • Experience with groundworks, steel frame construction and all external and internal works would be an advantage.
  • Able to communicate effectively with clients, Architects, and other professionals as well as sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Be prepared to travel and stay away from home when required.
