Parts Advisor required. Our client is a long-standing family business that have been in the agricultural industry for over 100 years. They are now looking for a Parts Advisor due to the growth of the business. This will be for the Tingewick depot.

Successful candidates will be ordering and despatching parts to support both the customer base and engineers in the workshop as well as promoting the retail shop in the local area. Candidates will also support the full line of CLAAS and JCB machinery and other key franchise equipment including Horsch, Richard Western, McConnell, ISUZU, and the Ground care division.

Parts Advisor Job Overview
  • Handle incoming customer calls and emails regarding parts inquiries.
  • Assist customers by identifying parts, providing prices, and checking availability.
  • Prepare parts orders for picking, collection, and delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels according to established processes.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth departmental operations.
  • Advise customers on the best value options for service parts.
  • Place orders using the manufacturers' systems.
  • Maintain close communication with service engineers, internal departments, suppliers, and customers to update them on parts requests.
  • Process parts invoices and allocate them to jobs for service counter and trade sales.
  • Conduct stock checks and audits, resolving any discrepancies internally or with suppliers.
Parts Advisor Job Requirements
  • Experience in a similar customer service role, ideally in a Parts environment.
  • Happy to work some Saturday mornings on a rota basis and extended hours at peak times of year
Parts Advisor Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £6.40 - £13.50 per hour with overtime available (Apprenticeship available)
  • Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday, 8am-3.30pm with half hour for lunch, basic 39 hour week
  • Overtime available (Sat at time and a half, Sunday - at double time, bank holiday Monday - at double time & day in lieu)
  • Holiday Package 24 days + 8BH
  • Life Assurance including dependent's pension
  • Ongoing training as required
  • Pension - 3% employee contribution and 7% employer contribution
