I am currently looking for a Loading Team Member for a Global company at there Steel site in Deeside.

Loading Team Member / Production operativeThe candidate must have as a minimum is a valid Counterbalance FLTRate: £12.67 + 10% shift premiumTwo week shift pattern:Week 1 - 6am - 2pm ( 5 days )Week 2 - 2pm - 10pm ( 5 days )

As a significant restructure, the role will be a multi-skilled manufacturing operative who will proactively engage in the process of business establishment and team development. He/she will need to liase with line management, other P&P functions and third parties to deliver the teams objectives overcoming any issues that may occur. A key personal attribute being flexibility and an ability to adapt to ever changing demands.

  • Operate processing machinery and material handling equipment in a safe and productive manner and to good standards of workmanship in order to deliver the required levels of customer service.
  • Recognise relevant product ranges to facilitate prompt and accurate material selection and processing.
  • Understand and implement maintenance activities to facilitate optimum productivity.
  • Understand and deploy continuous improvement and problem solving techniques to optimise machine availability.
  • Understand, deploy and seek to recommend improvements to production control procedures to support team performance objectives.
  • Handle all material including checking stock records, labelling and storing according to commercial requirements and Corus Panels and Profiles policy.
  • Be actively involved in own personal development plans to maximise performance in the role and the contribution to succession requirements of the business.
  • Impart knowledge of processes and activities to others in a structured and formal manner to support the team's operational and development objectives.
  • Ensure that own and team operations, including those undertaken on the Company's behalf by third party service providers, are conducted in manner which fully complies with Corus Panels and Profiles health and safety, quality, environmental and corporate policies.
  • Where required, contribute to team level annual operational and financial budgets that secure the resources necessary to achieve agreed work programmes.
  • Ensure the organisation of stocks, and appropriate records, to maintain optimum productivity and safety.
  • Play a full role within the team and the context of the site to facilitate optimal performance.

Person specification:

  • Must hold a current Counterbalance licence
  • Having a valid sideloader on top is a real benefit
