Job Title: Plant Maintenance Mechanical FitterPay: £33,500 per annum (£16.51 per hour)Location: TATA Steel, Shotton Works, Shotton Records Centre, Deeside CH5 2NHRemote Working: NoShift Pattern: Monday to FridayHours: 39 hours per weekHolidays: 35 days holidayDuration: 12 months, with potential for permanent extension
Essential Requirements:
- Full driving licence and access to a car
- Minimum of 2 years of plant experience in a steel or construction-related industry
- Time-served fitter
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering
- Perform mechanical maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of mechanical equipment within the cranes department
- Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance on overhead traveling cranes
- Repair mechanical items to a high standard using existing drawings
- Assist in the development and design for the manufacture of spare parts for cranes
- Repair and refurbish existing equipment
- Support workshops, auxiliary plants, and downshifts as required
- Conduct risk assessments and LOLERs (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations)
- Perform zone safety audits
- Maintain and promote a high level of Health and Safety
