Design Concession Approver (T200)

Airbus, the world's leading Aircraft manufacturer has an exciting new Contract role, to join its Wing Plant Engineering Team based in Broughton, UK.

The Plant is a modern and exciting place to work and is located within the beautiful countryside and beaches of Cheshire and North Wales and close to the vibrant cities of Manchester, Liverpool and historic Chester.

Our client is recruiting a Lead Design Engineer, for a Design Concession approval role, he/she will be supporting the Airbus Wing Component Delivery Teams (CDTs).

The Wing Plant Engineering Team (PET) primary function is to provide Engineering support to the Airbus Broughton Plant and its Supply Chain, enabling Wings to be delivered to the Final Assembly Lines. The team identify improvements, undertake investigations and provide technical solutions via Structural & Systems modifications for Design for Cost, Rate and Quality improvements.

The successful applicant will be part of a fast-moving team who deliver high quality Design solutions.

About the Role

This role provides support to the Plant Engineering team and Broughton Plant.

Tangible Deliverables

You will be responsible for leading design investigations and formulating technical solutions for Manufacturing Non-Conformances and Design Investigations ensuring that all Design, Airworthiness and safety requirements are met.

You must hold (or have held) design approval signatory in particular for manufacturing non-conformances (T200). A focal point in leading and providing guidance on technical issues.

Reporting will be required on critical technical issues through functional managers where applicable, and directly into delivery managers to ensure robust management of issues.

? Understand and synthesise multiple complex activities, simplify and communicate them clearly, on a timely basis, to all stakeholders as needed.

The role ideally will be carried out in Broughton, however there is a possibility in may be carried out from Filton, if all competencies and abilities can be demonstrated.
