About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join the Long-Term Intervention Team in Flintshire as an agency worker. This role involves providing consistent and high-quality support to children, young people, and their families, focusing on long-term case management and intervention strategies. You'll work closely with families to develop and implement care plans that promote the safety, well-being, and development of vulnerable children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and families requiring long-term intervention and support.
  • Conduct assessments in line with statutory requirements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and review care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring positive outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including health services, education providers, and legal teams.
  • Attend and contribute to case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings as required.
  • Provide support, guidance, and advocacy to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard in all decision-making processes.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in accordance with Flintshire County Council policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all legal, ethical, and professional standards, ensuring safeguarding practices are followed at all times.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Proven experience in long-term intervention, child protection, and family support.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
