Your new companyHays are working in partnership with a successful international group business to support one of their subsidiary businesses based in Lowestoft. We are seeking a capable and experienced Management Accountant to work alongside the senior leadership and become an integral part of their operation.Your new roleThis role will report directly to the MD of the subsidiary and have a dotted reporting line to the Finance Director, based outside the area. You will be tasked with supporting the commercial growth of the business and help build upon the success of the last 18 months.More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Monthly management accounting reporting cycles
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Balance sheet control for 2 businesses
  • Account reconciliations
  • Business partnering with the operations team to drive efficiency, cost saving and improved profit margins
  • Support with audit
  • Produce ad hoc reports for senior leadership

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week between Monday and Friday. The company operates a hybrid working policy that can be flexible to suit both parties.What you'll need to succeed You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant with previous experience in a similar Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner capacity. You will have strong commercial acumen and excellent communication skills. You will have strong IT skills and be able to manipulate data, as well as be able to support with statutory accounts preparation. You will need to be within commuting distance to Lowestoft as at least part of the role will be office based.
