Our client is looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager with specific experience in the cable harness, EMS and plastics market to identify and secure significant new business opportunities (250,000-500,000+) throughout the UK. This is a strategic role focused on developing long-term, high-value client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, research and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, industry events, and direct outreach
- Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients, becoming their trusted advisor
- Work within company guidelines to deliver new business results
- Conduct market analysis to understand industry demands and coordinate feasibility studies
- Contribute to sales strategy development and annual planning
- Deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients that effectively communicate our client's value proposition
- Collaborate with technical teams across production sites to develop pricing and project specifications that meet customer requirements
- Prepare professional quotations and contracts
- Independently manage your workload and territory
- Proven track record in new business development specifically within the cable harness, EMS and plastics industry
- Demonstrable experience managing complex, high-value sales cycles in this sector
- Strong industry connections and knowledge of the competitive landscape
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage at all levels
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- Full UK driving license
