On behalf of our client, a leading provider of cable assembly and electronic manufacturing services,Select Recruitment are seeking an experienced Business Development / New Business Manager to drive high-value new business acquisition across the UK.

Our client is looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager with specific experience in the cable harness, EMS and plastics market to identify and secure significant new business opportunities (250,000-500,000+) throughout the UK. This is a strategic role focused on developing long-term, high-value client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, research and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, industry events, and direct outreach
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential clients, becoming their trusted advisor
  • Work within company guidelines to deliver new business results
  • Conduct market analysis to understand industry demands and coordinate feasibility studies
  • Contribute to sales strategy development and annual planning
  • Deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients that effectively communicate our client's value proposition
  • Collaborate with technical teams across production sites to develop pricing and project specifications that meet customer requirements
  • Prepare professional quotations and contracts
  • Independently manage your workload and territory
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven track record in new business development specifically within the cable harness, EMS and plastics industry
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex, high-value sales cycles in this sector
  • Strong industry connections and knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Full UK driving license
