General Insurance Broker

South of Norwich - Office based Monday to Friday

Due to the location of my client you do need your own transport

£30K with an OTE of £35k - £45K

My wonderful client set in a beautiful location are currently seeking an experienced and motivated General Insurance Broker with a specific focus on advising and arranging buildings and contents insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Advisory: Provide expert advice on buildings and contents insurance products, ensuring clients fully understand their coverage options, policy terms, and conditions.
  • Policy Arrangement: Assess clients’ insurance needs and arrange suitable buildings and contents policies from leading insurers, tailored to individual client requirements.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service and advice throughout the duration of their policies.
  • Market Research: Keep up-to-date with the latest insurance products, trends, and regulations to ensure clients are offered the most appropriate options.
  • Claims Assistance: Provide support to clients in the event of a claim, guiding them through the claims process and liaising with insurers on their behalf.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including FCA guidelines, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all client interactions and policy arrangements.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell other insurance products (e.g., home, contents, and personal liability insurance) to clients where appropriate.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Insurance Broker, with a focus on buildings and contents insurance or property-related insurance products.
  • Strong understanding of the general insurance market, including policy options, claims procedures, and underwriting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and explain complex insurance terms in an understandable manner.
  • Strong sales skills and the ability to identify customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong IT skills and experience using insurance software systems.
  • Ideally sourced with 3XD, Payment Shield and/or CETA previously
  • Insurance qualifications (e.g., Cert CII, Dip CII) are desirable but not essential.
