Working for a growing and successful company, this is an opportunity for Technical Sales Engineer to join a company in Royston who is looking to add to their sales team.

This role would suit someone with technical engineering knowledge (mechanical or electrical) and a good background in business development.

As the Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a major role in expanding their customer base, developing new business opportunities, and long-term relationships with existing clients.

Your primary aim will be to generate leads, building relationships, and closing sales to drive revenue growth, "you need to be able to open doors and close sales!"

Role and duties

  • Identify and target potential clients
  • Work closely with European distributors
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge and offer support to customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Work with the team to understand industry trends and customer needs.
  • Travel to Europe to meet with customers and European distributors - expected 2-3 times per month.
  • Attending exhibitions, conference and networking events
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns and material.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering - Electrical or Mechanical
  • Experience in working with European distributors
  • Willingness to travel
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Be self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn about new technologies and products.
