Antony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with a growing services provider based on the outskirts in Colchester in recruiting a new Financial Accountant. Reporting into senior management and working in a face paced environment you will be preparing and reviewing management reports, monthly accounts, and claims as well as overseeing the Finance Assistant.

Main Duties

  • Preparing and reviewing management reports, monthly accounts, and claims.
  • Managing cash flow, balance sheet reconciliations, and Fixed Asset registers.
  • Supporting the yearly audit process and compliance efforts.
  • Maintaining Build Partner retention schedules and recharges
  • Liaising with budget holders for effective financial management.
  • Leading finance projects and assisting with system improvements.
  • Overseeing the Finance Assistant and handling supplier payments.
  • Organising and attending stock takes as required.

Skills and Experience

  • ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified
  • Proven experience in a Finance Department, including Management Accounts production
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting, Financial Control, and Sage 200 Accounts
  • Experience in process management and implementing control procedures
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload
  • Self-motivated team player with strong collaboration skills across departments
  • Ability to create and refine processes effectively
