Carpenter Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality woodworking using traditional tools and methods.
  • Work on restoration projects, ensuring authenticity and attention to historical accuracy.
  • Construct custom wooden structures, cabinetry, furniture, and interior features from blueprints or sketches.
  • Install wooden elements such as doors, windows, staircases, and moldings.
  • Select and prepare appropriate materials (e.g., hardwoods, softwoods) for each project.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship.
  • Collaborate with designers, architects, and other team members to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain and repair existing wood structures, as needed.

Carpenter Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a traditional carpenter or in a similar role.
  • Expertise in hand tools and power tools used in woodworking.
  • Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, including joinery, carving, and finishing.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design plans.
  • Keen eye for detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
