Internal Audit & Risk Manager
Location:West Sussex (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + up to 10% Stakeholders Bonus
Hours: 35 hours per week

The Role
As the Internal Audit & Risk Manager, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the organisation by developing and implementing the internal audit plan. You’ll be responsible for enhancing control design and operational effectiveness over key risk areas while advising on both strategic and operational risk exposures. Through risk-based audit reviews, the Internal Audit & Risk Manager will provide key insights and cost-effective recommendations to ensure continuous improvement and protection of the organisation’s integrity.
In this role, you will also manage and maintain the corporate risk register, collaborating across departments to embed strong risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and lead the internal audit plan

Prepare audit reports, present findings to management, and ensure follow-up on recommendations

Enhance the risk register process and ensure accurate updates to senior leadership

Collaborate with departments to improve internal controls and facilitate risk management

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in risk management

Build strong relationships across departments, embedding risk processes into daily operations

Travel to various locations to provide training and support to operational managers
About You:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject

Proven experience in internal audit and enterprise risk management, ideally within health or social care

Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management frameworks, and audit protocols

Organised, adaptable, and confident in communicating with senior leadership

Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required
