An excellent opportunity has arisen to join this market leading organisation as Electrotechnical Trainer. This role involves delivering high-quality training and supporting learners and all stakeholders throughout their educational journey.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach and assess your own apprentice groups, with time allocated for preparation.
- Plan and maintain the Scheme of Work and Lesson Plans for nominated groups.
- Liaise with the onsite assessor to ensure assessments are carried out in line with agreed plans, including Health & Safety reviews.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and assessment processes.
- Attend Training Team and Standardisation meetings as required.
- Work with apprentices to ensure progress is in line with agreed milestones and maintain accurate records.
- Provide on-programme information, advice, and guidance.
- Ensure progress reviews meet the requirements of Ofsted and our funding contract.
- Engage with all stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and to provide excellent customer service.
- Participate in training and CPD activities as agreed with the line manager.
- Conduct site visits and complete onsite assessments with apprentices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 3 Electrical qualification including AM2S or possess a gold card.
- Minimum 3 years in the industry with experience in the electrical field.
- Current and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards.
- Innovative and enriching approach to training delivery, focused around learner requirements.
- Willingness to achieve teaching and assessing qualifications through our mentoring programme if not already qualified.
Desirable:
- A1 or TAQA equivalent.
- PTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in both domestic and commercial fields.
- Experience of Electrical programme delivery within a college or training organisation.
