Job Overview:Our client is looking for a proactive and organised Transport Manager to oversee the daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our clients using the company fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships, addressing client transport needs and resolving any issues quickly.
- Scheduling: Plan, organise, and optimise transport jobs to enhance efficiency.
- Invoicing: Ensure accurate recording of transport charges and prepare client invoices.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the delivery team, stepping in to drive when needed.
- Route Optimization: Analyse and improve routes to maximise efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stock Oversight: Manage goods in/out processes, ensuring accuracy in stock records.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Driving License: Must have a valid license with 7+ years of driving experience and be able to operate Luton-sized vehicles.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Effective under pressure with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Enthusiasm: Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
