Commercial Property Manager (Block)

Salary: £38k - £45k DOE + bonus + company benefit package

Location: Burgess Hill

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am - 17.30

Must have a full UK driving licence and own transport to apply.

Do you want to work for a successful and well-established independent property organisation that prides itself on offering outstanding service to their clients? Do you have a background within commercial block management and want to work for a friendly, professional and supportive organisation? If so, I have a great opportunity to join my clients commercial team based near Burgess Hill.

You will already have experience in commercial block management and ideally be IRPM qualified, if not my client does offer to put you through the qualification.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrange works and liaise with the appropriate experts regarding the works/repairs and deal with any issues that may arise.
  • Liasing with external agencies regarding fire risk assessments and health and safety assessments to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and arrange works where required.
  • Service charge accounting in accordance with RICS Service Charge and ARMA guidelines.
  • Liasing with clients via phone, email and correspondence.
  • Negotiating utility contracts and liaise with providers.
  • Provide reports to clients, i.e. engineering insurance reports.
  • Agree budgets for property management issues, inclusive of dealing with surveyors, and agree expenditure limit.
  • Meetings and visits with clients as required.
  • Ensure all client information is collated and filed accurately.
  • Diary management.

The right candidate will have the following skills and experience to apply:

  • Proven background within commercial block management.
  • Great communication and negotiation skills.
  • IRPM qualified or happy to undertake the qualifications.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.
  • Good understanding of block management legislation affecting property management and compliance.
  • A natural problem solver with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships.
