Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Burgess Hill
Salary: £13.13 per hour (PAYE) excluding holiday pay
Full Time: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (30 minutes lunch break) - 37.5 hours per week
Temporary 3 months assignment (inside IR35)
Our client, a leading and continuously expanding business, are looking to recruit 2 punctual and self-motivated Warehouse Operatives to join their dynamic and dedicated team for their day shifts (9:00am - 5:30pm).
You must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle as it is important that you can confidently attend shifts on time and reliably.
This exciting opportunity will be a 6-month contract, with a high possibility of a permanent contract, and offers a competitive hourly rate (paid weekly) and 25 days holiday per annum + bank holidays.

Requirements
- Must drive and have access to a vehicle (public transport is limited and poorly served in the area)
- Must have good punctuality and reliability
- Must have warehouse despatch experience
- Must be available between 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
- Should have experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Must have strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in stock movement, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Must have a high level of physical fitness
- Must have basic IT skills
- Must work with a patient-focused mindset and a sense of urgency at all times
- Confident team player who can also work independently when required
- Reliable and committed
Responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative
- Working in a designated team in order to fulfil daily operational activities i.e
- Working towards set personal and warehouse KPIs - including ensuing all deliveries leave on time in full
- Organising and completion of daily tasks
- Updating daily tasks to reflect changing business needs
- The correct and efficient Goods Receipt of stock and its subsequent storage in the correct temperature controlled areas (room temperature; chill and frozen)
- To prioritise urgent requirements and ensure that cross -docked items (and customer backorders) are processed in a timely manner
- To assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles and the general handling of materials throughout the site.
- The timely movement of stock to replenish bins for picking
- To segregate, record and update the status of customer returned products to agreed targets and in line with RDUK procedures
- To accurately pick customer orders in accordance with material number; quantity; batch number; expiry date and temperature condition
- To ensure that picked products are accurately packed in accordance with their temperature sensitivity; ensuring product is packed the 'right way up' and that any dangerous goods/ special product requirements have been covered
- To be fully accredited on SAP R/3 Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) in order to fulfil the requirements of the task being performed
- To assist with daily inventory checks as required
- To follow the Housekeeping directives in order to assist with the maintenance of a safe, clean working environment and clean/ undamaged saleable stock
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by Team Leaders or Manager
- To carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality system procedures and maintain a relevant working knowledge of these procedures and contribute to their update
