You will use your strong communication skills to engage with contractors and ensure that we remain compliant with governing bodies. An important element of your role will be managing spot audits by the regulatory agency and liaise effectively with them and associated governing bodies. You will travel to various sites and reside close enough for a standby arrangement every 9 weeks

You will be responsible for the effective running of the team in the absence of the FPM as they will deputise for leave and delegated requirements, meeting performance continuity for an operational area and role succession.

This role is varied with an opportunity to work in a wide range of diverse activities across a number of sites with a wide range of contractors and Southern Water staff. To be considered for this role you will need to have experience in the utilities section, ideally water.

Does this opportunity excite you but you’re not 100% sure if you meet all the requirements for the role? Or are you concerned that ‘normal’ office hours aren’t possible given your personal circumstances? Whilst we can’t accommodate every flexible working request, we’ll try to find a practical solution. So why not engage with us and find out more about this role?

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, because delivering water for life is our core purpose. To achieve this, we need 24/7 support in place to resolve incidents quickly and efficiently. Joining the Southern Water family means you’ll become part of our incident support team. During your interview, your manager will speak to you about any incident support rotas that apply to your position.
