GSL Education are looking for a friendly and reliable Cover Supervisor (CS) to join a vibrant school in Sheffield. If you enjoy supporting students, keeping them engaged, and ensuring that lessons run smoothly in the absence of a teacher, we want to hear from you! This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about helping students stay focused while creating a positive learning atmosphere.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure continuity in the classroom by supervising lessons when the teacher is away. You’ll make sure students are on task, help them understand the lessons, and maintain order in the classroom. If you have a positive attitude and want to make a real impact on students' education, this is a great opportunity!

Your Key Responsibilities:

Supervise Lessons: Ensure students remain engaged and follow the teacher's pre-planned work.
Maintain Classroom Order: Create a positive and respectful environment where students can focus on their tasks.
Provide Feedback: Report on student progress and behaviour to the teacher for further support.
Assist with School Activities: Help with general school duties, such as break-time supervision when necessary.
Keep Students Motivated: Encourage active participation and ensure lessons are carried out smoothly.

What We’re Looking For:

Ability to manage a classroom and keep students on track with their work.
Passion for helping students learn and succeed.
Good communication skills and a friendly approach.
Experience with young people is an advantage but not essential.
A relevant qualification or degree is helpful but not required.
Confidence in following lesson plans and managing diverse subjects.
An updated CV and enhanced DBS registered on update service (or willing to apply for one).
