Role Overview:
As a Domiciliary Carer, you will be responsible for providing support to individuals in their own homes. This includes assisting with personal care, medication, meal preparation, and companionship, helping our clients maintain their independence and well-being. You will be traveling to clients' homes, so a full UK driving license and access to your own car are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help with medication management, ensuring medication is taken as prescribed.
- Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided.
- Work closely with families, health professionals, and other carers to provide a seamless care experience.
- Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with the care plan and our quality standards.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar healthcare role is preferred (training will be provided for the right candidates).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Compassionate, patient, and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A full, clean UK driving license and access to a reliable, insured car (this is essential for this role).
- A commitment to providing the highest standard of care and maintaining client confidentiality.
- Willingness to undergo background checks (DBS) and mandatory training.
