We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team at a well-respected secondary educational institution in Burnham and Highbridge. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had a teacher pull of a permanent position for September at the last minute to relocation issues. Therefore we are seeking a strong Cover Teacher to cover term one and two with us, full time, Monday to Friday. You will need to be keen and willing to cover a spectrum of different lessons, but there is also a full time English Teacher role available here too - that would come with PPA time / money. 

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver lesson plans that engage and educate students in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.
  • Maintain a well-managed classroom and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings.
  • Stay current with educational policy and teaching methods through continued professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching at the relevant educational level.
  • Strong understanding of the curriculum and educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
