We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team at a well-respected secondary educational institution in Burnham and Highbridge. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had a teacher pull of a permanent position for September at the last minute to relocation issues. Therefore we are seeking a strong Cover Teacher to cover term one and two with us, full time, Monday to Friday. You will need to be keen and willing to cover a spectrum of different lessons, but there is also a full time English Teacher role available here too - that would come with PPA time / money.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver lesson plans that engage and educate students in line with the national curriculum.
- Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.
- Maintain a well-managed classroom and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings.
- Stay current with educational policy and teaching methods through continued professional development.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching at the relevant educational level.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and educational best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
